We’re based in Burnham-on-Sea, North Somerset and work across Somerset and Devon, including Bristol, Taunton and Exeter. If you’re just outside these areas, contact us and we’ll advise quickly.

What carpentry services do you provide?

We provide a full range of carpentry and joinery, including first fix, second fix, bespoke carpentry, doors and linings, wood flooring, stairs, loft boarding and loft ladders, decking, garden gates and driveway gates, roofing carpentry, and carpentry repairs.

Do you offer both domestic and commercial carpentry?

Yes. We work with homeowners, landlords, builders, developers, facilities teams and commercial clients. We can support single jobs through to ongoing maintenance and site carpentry (scope dependent).

Are you certified for fire door installation and maintenance?

Yes. Aston Brothers Carpentry Ltd are BM TRADA Certified for fire door installations and fire door maintenance. We’ll confirm specification, hardware and any documentation requirements during quotation.

Can you fit internal doors (including Howdens doors)?

Yes. We fit hardwood, softwood and Howdens doors, including door furniture and finishing carpentry such as architraves and trims.

Do you install loft boarding and loft ladders?

Yes. We install loft boarding (including raised boarding where required), loft hatches (fit/enlarge) and loft ladders to create safe, practical loft storage.

Do you install wood flooring?

Yes. We install engineered wood flooring, solid wood flooring (where suitable) and laminate flooring, including thresholds and neat transitions for a professional finish.

Can you build bespoke carpentry and storage solutions?

Yes. We build made-to-measure bespoke carpentry including alcove units, built-in cupboards, under-stairs storage, shelving, media walls/TV units, and tailored storage solutions designed to fit your space perfectly.

Do you build decking and fit garden gates?

Yes. We install timber/composite decking and fit garden gates and driveway gates, including repairs to existing timberwork where viable.

Do you do roofing carpentry, porch roofs and roof timber repairs?

Yes. We provide roofing carpentry (carpentry scope), including entrance porch roofs, roof lantern preparation, and roof timber repairs where required. We can coordinate around builders/roofers as needed.

Can you carry out carpentry repairs and maintenance?

Yes. We complete a wide range of carpentry repairs, including doors that stick or don’t latch, damaged trims, flooring issues, gate/decking repairs and localised timber repairs where viable.

Do you provide free advice or site visits?

We’re happy to offer practical advice and will confirm whether a site visit is required based on the job. For larger or more detailed work, a site visit helps ensure accurate measurements and a clear quotation.
